Driver CPC training
We are now offering a driver CPC course that has been approved by the Joint Approvals Unit (JAUPT).
This course is suitable for both LGV and PCV drivers
What is the Driver CPC?
The Driver CPC is a big change to the transport industry and it affects all drivers with a vocational driving licence.
From September 2008 the Driver CPC was implemented as a requirement of Directive EU 2003/59, in order to improve road safety and maintain high driving standards.
All PCV and LGV drivers must hold a Driver CPC if they want to be employed as a driver . This will mean that all drivers will need a minimum of 35 hours “periodic training” every 5 years – this can be taken as 7 hours per year. (Helps you keep up with changes in legislation).
This training requires that drivers attend courses but does not involve exams or tests.
